About IGF-1 LR3
IGF-1 LR3 is a recombinant analogue of insulin-like growth factor 1, extended by 13 residues at the N-terminus and substituted at position 3. These changes greatly reduce its binding to IGF binding proteins, so a larger fraction stays free in culture media, making it a common reagent in cell proliferation and differentiation studies. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial, for laboratory research only.
