About GDF-8
GDF-8 (growth differentiation factor 8) is myostatin itself, the TGF-beta family member that limits skeletal muscle growth. It is supplied as a recombinant protein for use as the reference ligand in receptor binding and inhibition assays. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial, for laboratory research only.
