About Melanotan II
Melanotan II is a cyclic synthetic analogue of alpha-MSH that activates melanocortin receptors, including MC1R and MC4R. It is used in receptor pharmacology work and in studies of melanogenesis, where its non-selective receptor profile makes it a useful comparator against selective agonists.
