Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is the cobalt-containing coenzyme required by methionine synthase and methylmalonyl-CoA mutase. It is supplied at research scale as a reference standard and for cell culture media work. The cobalt complex gives the powder its deep red colour. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial, for laboratory research only.
